Stephon Castle is proud of how Jeremy Sochan handled his situation with the Spurs

Jeremy Sochan is not with the San Antonio Spurs anymore. He was a fixture of the team for a couple of years, but he fell out of the rotation this season. The Spurs waived him, so he is now with the New York Knicks, who scooped him up.

It was a tough time for Sochan because most people became familiar with him as a regular starter for the Spurs. Unfortunately, he fell out of the rotation, and he failed to return to that level of success again.

Castle is proud of how Sochan handled himself

It can be tough dealing with not playing minutes as an NBA player. Throughout their lives, most of the players in the league grew accustomed to being stars before they joined the NBA. However, that can change in such a talented league.

Sochan was a regular for the Spurs for a long while, but that changed this season. Unfortunately for Sochan, that is when the Spurs started to take charge and become a top team in the Western Conference.

While Sochan had some moments when he alluded to not feeling good with the Spurs, it was a natural reaction. He continued to be a good teammate to the other Spurs players, which impressed Stephon Castle.

"I think he handled it as best as he could. Obviously, he was not getting the minutes he wanted. I don't think his demeanor or his body language changed. In practice, he brought the same energy; he cheered guys on... I think he handled it like a pro," Castle said about Sochan's attitude during his final season with the Spurs.

Now that Sochan is with the Knicks, he might get an opportunity to play against the Spurs in a couple of weeks. That is a good opportunity for him to redeem himself since he is now part of a top team in the Eastern Conference.
