After the close Game 2 loss, it will be difficult for the San Antonio Spurs to bounce back. They are now down 2-0 to the New York Knicks, and they have not even played at Madison Square Garden yet.

That is a tough situation to be in, which is why Stephon Castle and the rest of the Spurs are now desperate for a win. He admits that their sense of urgency is at its peak now because their backs are up against the wall.

Stephon Castle admits the Spurs are raring to go for Game 3

The Spurs have faced some immense obstacles in this postseason run, but their backs are truly up against the wall after Game 2. They had the win in their grasp, but both Victor Wembanyama and Castle threw that chance away with their silly mistakes.

Now, they are headed to MSG with a 2-0 deficit. That is not optimal considering the Garden will be rocking and filled with Knicks fans. The pressure is at its peak, but it seems the sense of urgency for the Spurs is on a similar level.

After not being "too worried" after the Game 1 loss, the Spurs are now in a tough spot. If they don't win Game 3, their season is basically over. That is why this Spurs team is treating Game 3 like it's the Game 7 they won vs the Oklahoma City Thunder.

"It's human nature to come out with a certain sense of urgency after a loss. It probably shouldn't go that way; you should come out with the same urgency whether you win or lose. Now being down 2-0, our sense of urgency is the highest it's been," Castle admitted ahead of Game 3 of the Finals.

No matter what happens, it will be a tough Game 3 for the Spurs. The pressure is on them to perform and prove they belong in the NBA Finals. If they can't do so, they will be struggling to come back from an insurmountable deficit.
