Steph Curry's wife, Ayesha Curry, once revealed she had a tough time fitting in due to her diverse background
Ayesha Curry is one of the most recognizable NBA wives, due to her relationship with Stephen Curry and her success as a celebrity chef and entrepreneur. However, it was not always easy for her, as she once opened up about her struggles with fitting in due to her diverse background.
Born to an American-Polish father and a Jamaican-Chinese mother, Curry opened up to being expected to "choose" her identity. The celebrity chef discussed the subject during an appearance on The View talk show in 2023.
"I moved to the south, to North Carolina, right at the start of high school, so at 14, and there it was like … who do you choose? I always loved every part of me. But there it was like ‘no, you’re gonna go here.’ Then it seemed like my own community didn’t want to, like, wrap their arms around me and embrace me. That kind of hurt."Despite facing challenges fitting in due to her diverse background, Ayesha Curry successfully navigated those early struggles and has since carved out a remarkable path for herself, emerging as a successful entrepreneur, author, and television personality.
