Have you ever wanted to jump into the worlds of your favorite shows and movies?
While fantasy worlds like Westeros and magical schools like Hogwarts don’t exist in real life, the places they were filmed in do, and many of them are located in the United Kingdom.
The UK is becoming a hotbed for Hollywood, with nearly 500 projects starting production in 2022, and countless more in the years since. From historic estates to the streets of London and Bath, it’s easier than ever to visit the spots you’ve come to know, and even easier when you book lodging at a nearby Hilton.
Here are eight different UK filming locations that may make a great autumn holiday, alongside hotels recommended by Hilton.
Step Into Paddington at the Hilton London Metropole

The kind and polite world of Paddington isn’t that far away! Candy colored Georgian Regency facades that make up the Brown family’s neighborhood are just nearby in Chalcot Crescent, part of London’s Primrose Hill neighborhood.
It’s just a quick ride away from the Hilton London Metropole, which is conveniently located in walking distance to the train station that gave the bear its name, Paddington Station.
Step Into Wonka at the DoubleTree by Hilton Bath

Speaking of candy-colored, head to Bath for a quick walking tour of the locations where Timothée Chalamet filmed 2023’s Wonka. The Abbey, Parade Gardens, The Colonnades, Walcot Street, and Bath Street are all within walking distance of the DoubleTree by Hilton Bath.
Step Into Harry Potter at the Hilton London Watford

It wouldn’t be a set-jetting trip to England without checking out the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter exhibition near Watford, just outside of London proper. Staying at the Hilton London Watford will put you just four miles away from the exhibition and a quick train ride to other magic landmarks in London.
Step Into Bridgerton at the Hilton London Syon

While many of Bridgerton‘s exterior scenes are filmed in Bath (and we know a hotel for that, too!), the crew travels all over the UK for the perfect filming locations, from Yorkshire to Sussex, Wiltshire to Kent. The first ball of Bridgerton Season 2 was filmed on location at Brentford’s 16th-century Syon Park estate. Stay in the magic at the Hilton London Syon, also on the grounds of the 200-acre estate.
Step Into The Crown at the DoubleTree by Hilton York

Dozens of British manors and castles are featured in the popular Netflix original The Crown, but the enormous 13th-century Gothic York Minster cathedral, which served as a stand-in setting for Charles and Camilla’s Windsor Castle wedding in the series finale, is a stunning piece of British architecture worth visiting.
It’s just a nine-minute walk from the DoubleTree by Hilton York.
Step Into Peaky Blinders at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole

Peaky Blinders was filmed all over England during its six-season run — from Leeds to Liverpool to Bradford and beyond — but fans of the gritty crime drama will definitely want to head to Birmingham and stay at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. Why? The real-life Peaky Blinders street gang originated there, and the city is now home to tours of the show’s locations.
Step Into the James Bond Universe at the London Hilton on Park Lane

London is in the DNA of every James Bond film, from Dr. No to No Time To Die, but die-hard fans of the suave spy will definitely want to sneak a peek at the MI6 British Secret Intelligence Service building, visible from the Thames and just a 10 minute walk from the London Hilton on Park Lane.
That very Hilton also served as a filming location for Alfred Hitchcock’s 1972 thriller Frenzy.
Step Into Game of Thrones at the Hilton Belfast

While Westeros isn’t real, Northern Ireland certainly is, and the country served as one of many filming locations for the HBO epic. Staying at the Hilton Belfast will keep you centrally located as you take your pick of Thrones-inspired day trips to spots like Tollymore Forest Park, the Glens of Antrim, and the Dark Hedges, all of which doubles as Westerosi locales.
