Steelers have most concerning stat in the league entering 2025 NFL season

The Pittsburgh Steelers are in a weird spot.

It's been an offseason of additions and departures that leave the Steelers looking at a new-look 2025 NFL season.

Pro Football Talk summed it up best with this recent statistic: The Steelers are the only team in the NFL that won't have their 2024 leader in passing yards, rushing yards or receiving yards on the roster for 2025.

Russell Wilson left and signed with the Giants in free agency (not to mention Justin Fields leaving to sign with the Jets).

Najee Harris signed with the Chargers as a free agent.

And George Pickens was just traded to the Dallas Cowboys.

The new quarterback is still up in the air, but hopes for Aaron Rodgers remain. If not him, then Mason Rudolph or rookie Will Howard.

The running back returner is Jaylen Warren, who was a strong 1B to Harris the past couple years. They also added free agent Kenneth Gainwell and rookie Kaleb Johnson (Iowa).

And the big receiver addition is DK Metcalf, traded for from the Seahawks and signed to a massive extension.

Things could still change this offseason, but the Steelers aren't getting any of those departed guys back.

If they land Rodgers, maybe it's an upgraded trio of leaders at these positions, but there's still plenty of uncertainty.

It's probably good for jersey sales, at least, with Steelers fans needing to rep some of their new favorite players.

How it works out on the field? We'll just have to wait and see.
