Deep Dive on All the First-Time Emmy-Nominated Actors: Harrison Ford, Zoë Kravitz & More
Amid a sea of excellent performances, only one can grace the stage and pick up the trophy.
That’s why some of the biggest TV stars have yet to walk away an Emmy winner. Take, for instance, Seth Rogen who has been nominated for nine awards over the years, including on Pam & Tommy and The Boys.
However, this year could be his as he is up for four awards for his work on The Studio: Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series, Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. (For all of this year’s Emmy nominations, head on over here.)
Seth, who got his start on the small screen in 1999 with Freaks & Geeks, isn’t the only sitcom actor that has yet to pick-up a trophy. Kayley Cuoco hasn’t either, though she has been nominated three times for her role in the HBO hit The Flight Attendant. Even more surprisingly, she was never nominated for her 12 seasons on The Big Band Theory.
Steve Carell is in the same boat too, with 11 nominations for his work in The Morning Show and The Office.
And then there’s Noah Wyle, who has the opportunity to finally win an Emmy at the Sept. 14 ceremony—and doing so playing another doctor, no less.

Despite being nominated five times for his role as Dr. John Carter in ER in the ‘90s, Noah picked up two more nominations this year for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Drama Series for his work on The Pitt.
"I gave up hope that this was going to be something that my career was going to be part of again, that this focus would beyond my work,” Noah recently admitted to People about securing his first Emmy nominations since 1999. “It's really amazing."
