Stars vs. Avalanche schedule: Dates, times, TV channels, scores for 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs 1st-round series

9 hours ago 1

In a rematch of last year's postseason, the Stars (50-25-6) take on the Avalanche (49-29-4) in what should be a must-watch first-round battle in the 2025 NHL Playoffs.

Colorado is widely considered a favorite to win the Stanley Cup Final, with odds as short as +650 on some sportsbooks. Dallas isn't too far behind, sitting around +1000 on most books. Long story short, this series should be quite a battle.

The Stars defeated the Avalanche in six games in the second round of the 2024 Western Conference Playoffs. However, things might be a little different this time around — and not just because forward Mikko Rantanen now plays for Dallas, not Colorado.

The Avalanche have since added goalies Mackenzie Blackwood and Scott Wedgewood, defensemen Erik Johnson and Ryan Lindgren, and forwards Charlie Coyle, Jack Drury, Martin Necas and Brock Nelson. The upgrades helped Colorado enjoy a +43 goal differential this season.

Will Colorado advance to the second round like the series odds suggest? Or, will Dallas get the better of the Avalanche in the playoffs for the second-straight year?

Here's what you need to know about the Stars vs. Avalanche in the first round of the 2025 NHL Playoffs, including TV broadcast information, live-stream details and start times.
