Dallas Stars head coach Glen Gulutzan addressed injury concerns heading into the NHL playoffs following a 5-4 victory against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday.
During his media duties after the game, Gulutzan said he does not know what to expect in the playoffs and that, just as they could receive good news soon, they could also receive bad news.
"I don't know. I honestly don't know [how things are going to be in the postseason]. But any time there's an injury, especially to, you know, top guys, it's concerning," he said.
"But we'll see. We'll see where it plays out. We could get great news tomorrow, or we could get bad news. I'm just, I'm not sure where we're going to be."
Heiskanen joins Radek Faksa and Tyler Seguin on Stars' injured list
Defenseman Miro Heiskanen left the game against the Wild after suffering a lower-body injury following a hit from Wild winger Ryan Hartman.
Heiskanen, 26, skated off on his own but went through the tunnel instead of returning to the bench. He did not return for the remainder of the game.
Heiskanen joins center Radek Faksa (lower body) and Tyler Seguin (knee) on the Stars' injured list. The latter two are on injured reserve, while confirmation on the Finnish defenseman's status remains pending.
