Nothing brings people together like an international sports tournament and a cup of coffee. The World Cup kicks off today, and Starbucks is celebrating with a new collectible.
On June 11, in celebration of fan devotion for national teams and international enthusiasm, participating Starbucks locations are giving any customer who orders any size beverage — even brewed coffee and tea — a free, limited-edition U.S. cup sleeve. The red, white and blue draws inspiration from the captain’s armband and represents the unifying power that is a global game.
Even bigger news: The “Bearista” cup is back to join in on the World Cup excitement.
Gaining its popularity during the 2025 holiday season, customers went crazy for the cute, honey-bear-shaped cup topped with a winter beanie. Originally sold for $30, fans were reselling the little glass bear for prices up to $500. Massive lines formed and fights broke out, with Starbucks even having to apologize saying the cup “exceeded even our biggest expectations.”
In light of the biggest soccer event in the world, Starbucks brought back the ‘Bearista’ cup, and, this time, it’s got a soccer scarf and a soccer ball hat.
The soccer-themed ‘Bearista’ cup will be available at participating coffeehouses across Canada, Latin America and the Asia Pacific region, and available to U.S. customers online for Starbucks Rewards Reserve tier members only.
If you want to avoid 2025’s holiday bear chaos or simply can’t get your hands on the cup, Amazon has a just as adorable option for only $13. Whether your sipping at home or heading to a big game, take a moment to enjoy your beverage in bear-form, without having to fight someone to get the coveted Starbucks classic.
