WASHINGTON — As one of three captains and the lone returning starter, Zuby Ejiofor hasn’t been hesitant to sound alarms through an uneven start to the season.
Ten days ago, following a frustrating loss to Kentucky in Atlanta, the standout forward said it was time for everyone to look in the mirror and make changes for St. John’s to have a successful season.
This week, before the Johnnies headed to the nation’s capital to take on Georgetown, the star senior sent another message: The time for a turnaround and to find their collective game is now.
“With us going into the conference now, there has to be a switch,” Ejiofor said. “There’s lessons to be learned from the nonconference, but we have a championship to defend.”
