Through just six games to start the 2025-26 NBA campaign, both fans and media members alike have yet to pick their jaws up off of the floor after viewing San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama's early-season highlights.

The uber-athletic star has taken the league by storm to open his third season, and there are a plethora of stats to back it up.

San Antonio's 7-foot-5 phenom has averaged 26.7 points, 13.7 rebounds (No. 2 in NBA) and a league-leading 4.7 blocks to lead his team to a 5-1 record, but the box score won't be the only place you'll find evidence of Wembanyama's impact.

According to data from NBA Communications, the 21-year-old has officially reached a new echelon of popularity on social media thanks to his unbelievable physical abilities. Interestingly enough, the reveal of his achievement will be followed by a Wednesday night matchup pitting him against a fellow generational talent in Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Dončić.

"Victor Wembanyama leads all players with 276 million video views across NBA social media accounts this season," NBA Communications shared via X.

It might not come as a suprise, but Wembanyama's incredible athletic feats have earned him the top spot with regard to social media views to begin the new season.

In his season debut against the Dallas Mavericks on Oct. 22, Wembanyama gave himself an early head start by offering social media viewers a few heart-stopping highlights while standing opposite of Dallas' 10-time All-Star and 5-time All-Defensive Team selection Anthony Davis.

Whether it was reverse windmill dunks or behind-the-back dribble sequences leading into four-point-play opportunities, Wembanyama shocked the sports world on the way to registering 40 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks while shooting 15-for-21 from the field in a shade under 30 minutes of action. San Antonio took the matchup by a score of 125-92 on Dallas' home floor.

In San Antonio's following contest against the New Orleans Pelicans on Oct. 24, Wembanyama would attempt to top his opening night performance by scoring 29 points, pulling down 11 rebounds and swatting nine shots in an eventual 120-116 overtime win.

Now, the Spurs are set to face their toughest test yet against Dončić's Lakers, as Los Angeles' 5-time All-NBA First Team selection will try his best to pick up a victory with 21-time All-Star LeBron James sidelined for the night due to sciatica.

Dončić enters the night against Wembanyama's Spurs boasting all-time great averages 41.3 points, 11.5 rebounds and 8.3 assists on a phenomenal 61.6% effective field goal percentage through four appearances this season.
