Spencer Jones is tall -- 6-foot-7 to be exact.

The new New York Yankees call-up is the same height as superstar Aaron Judge, whose rare 6-foot-7 stature now gets a twin with the Yanks.

But just because they're the same height doesn't mean they're the same.

Differences between Spencer Jones and Aaron Judge

The first is obvious.

Judge throws and bats right-handed.

Jones throws and bats left-handed.

They did both play college baseball -- Judge at Fresno State, Jones at Vanderbilt. Both are from the state of California.

The key difference is at the plate.

The reality is that Jones swings-and-misses more than Judge ever did in the minor leagues.

Judge had 1,532 minor league plate appearances and struck out 380 times. That's 24.8% of his trips to the plate ending in strikeouts.

Jones has made 1,833 trips to the plate in the minor leagues and struck out 600 times. That's 32.7% of the time.

To make his MLB career a success, Jones will need to improve on that.
