Spain rising superstar Lamine Yamal is saving money and living better.

Lamal revealed a series of photos on Instagram on Thursday documenting his journey in the United States. Spain is preparing to kick off the 2026 World Cup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, where it will face Cabo Verde.

In the series of photos, the 18-year-old inverted right winger is seen walking outside of a Walmart in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, with a shopping cart full of necessities and snacks.

Before he posted the photos, a fan recorded him inside the Walmart just after he finished checking out and captioned the video as “Not your everyday Walmart Trip.”

This isn’t the first time Yamal had an Instagram post create some laughs. Four days ago, he posted a series of photos that showed him opening up packs of Pokémon cards. He was seen smiling and admiring his haul in the last slide.

But as the post that spotted him walking out of Walmart said, it is indeed not your everyday Walmart trip, as Yamal has quickly risen to stardom and has become a household name with the Spain National Team, drawing comparisons to Lionel Messi.

In 2026, Yamal led La Liga in assists (11) and dribbles (133). He placed fifth in goals (16). Kylian Mbappé tallied 25.

Spain is awaiting its World Cup debut June 15, playing in Group H that also features Uruguay and Saudi Arabia. Until Spain play its first match, the team will continue practicing at its state-of-the-art facility at Baylor High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
