By implementing this leading-edge technology, Southlake Health has decreased scan times and improved patient throughput for some exams, benefiting the communities Southlake serves and the hospital’s dedicated healthcare professionals. Philips’ Ambition X MR with BlueSeal technology delivers superb image quality and performs MRI exams up to 3 times faster with Philips Compressed SENSE and SmartSpeed acceleration technologies [2]. Additional features such as MR Smart Workflow allow technologists to focus more on the patient while achieving high productivity with AI embedded in every step to simplify the path from image acquisition to diagnosis. Currently, Philips is the only helium-free scanner provider available in Canada with a 70 cm bore, eliminating the operational costs and downtime associated with traditional MRs [1]. A wider bore has resulted in patients reporting more comfortable exams and reduced feelings of claustrophobia.
