It’s been a dramatic few months for the Southern Charm cast, with makeups, breakups, and love triangles dominating the better part of Season 11. Tonight, it all came to a head at Patricia Altschul‘s Carolina Day party — after all, there’s no better place to close out a season of Southern Charm than at a black-tie event at Altschul’s Charleston estate.
This season, Craig Conover and Austen Kroll reached new levels of toxicity in their on-again off-again friendship. The two men, severely suffering from “Peter Pan syndrome,” fought it out over Craig’s drinking and Austen’s relationship, leading to multiple explosive scenarios. At the same time, they found themselves in separate love triangles involving Salley Carson and newbie Charley Manley (once Austen was declared a single man, of course). There was a lot that happened, and the cast trip to Mexico truly proved to have the largest impact on some of the aforementioned relationships.
So, how did Southern Charm Season 11 end? Did Salley and Austen start dating? And did Charley dump Craig? Keep reading for everything you need to know before the two-part reunion begins airing next week!
What happened with Salley and Charley? Are Salley and Charley still friends?
Salley and Charley had an interesting dynamic this season. While they started off as best friends, things took a turn when Craig chose Charley over Salley, who was hardcore crushing on him. Upset about getting friend-zoned, Salley turned on Craig and urged Charley to stop seeing him. But instead of listening to her friend, Charley continued a low-key romance with the Sewing Down South founder both on-camera and off-camera.
In the season finale, Craig approached Salley about his relationship with Charley, revealing just how close they actually were. He shared that they would FaceTime for hours every night, and that Charley was supposed to go with him and his family to France, completely stunning Salley. In addition to the fact that Charley kept their relationship such a big secret, Salley was upset that she texted Charley before her first date with Craig, saying she was feeling “sad” about having feelings for him, and Charley still pursued a romance anyway.
While their friendship was in limbo at the end of the episode, it’s safe to say that, based on their social media posts and the fact that they each showed up to support one another’s Watch What Happens Live tapings, Salley and Charley are back in a good place. Cheers to not letting a man ruin a strong female friendship (for too long, at least)!
Are Craig and Charley still together?
From the sounds of it, Craig and Charley are no longer together. After Craig blew up on Salley in Mexico, Charley said she could only see him as a friend, as his outburst was “a big turn-off.” When they spoke about their relationship status in the finale episode, Craig was upset that “one bad night” erased everything he had with Charley, shockingly sharing that he even would’ve picked Charley over his ex-girlfriend, Paige DeSorbo. Still, his words weren’t enough to sway the strong-willed art gallery employee, who vowed to “try” the friend thing with Craig.

Ah, these two. While Salley spent the latter half of the episode crying about Craig and her friendship with Charley, she quickly snapped out of it when she remembered who she was really after: Austen. The Trop Hop Beers founder told Salley that he was not in the headspace to start a new relationship, and that he didn’t know if he would be interested in her if he were. But Salley told him she’d “do whatever” she had to do to change his mind. They ended the episode by getting in the same car and riding into the night together — or to meet up with Shep Rose and Whitney Sudler-Smith. Same thing. While they may not be boyfriend and girlfriend, it was revealed that the two lovebirds have been “hanging out” and “making out” ever since that evening … so there’s still a possibility.
Did Craig and Austen make up?
The relationship between Austen and Craig might have more highs and lows than any other relationship on Bravo. While they were pretty civil in Mexico, the two men ended Season 11 on another sour note, with Austen declaring that he “feels good about not holding anymore space for Craig in [his] life.” After Craig blamed Salley for his failed relationship with Charley, Austen urged him to take a long, hard look at himself and his “anger problems.” Craig insisted that, while he was not proud of his explosive reactions, they only happen in response to “people doing really fucked up shit” to him, like meddling in his relationship. Austen, however, didn’t buy it, and instead yelled at Craig for not taking any accountability for his part in certain situations. So, the answer here is no. Craig and Austen did not make up by the end of the season. But there’s always the reunion!
