Sophie Cunningham appeared on ABC News' Good Morning America on Monday, where she expressed her insights on the Monday Night Football between the Washington Commanders and Kansas City Chiefs.

In her segment, Cunningham revealed that she has been an avid supporter of the Chiefs, having been a fan of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, two of the biggest stars in the NFL.

"I'm a Chiefs fan through and through," the Indiana Fever guard said. "I'm born and raised in Missouri so when you have Patrick Mahone and Travis Kelce on your team, I'm always going to bet on them."

Cunningham played football during her high school years at Rock Bridge High School, where she played as a kicker. She was also part of the school's basketball and volleyball teams.

Now, Cunningham has earned numerous sponsorships following a momentous 2025 WNBA season, including with fast food brand Arby's, which signed her to be one of their spokesperson.

Cunningham appeared in 30 games for the Fever, in which she averaged 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.0 steals per game, before falling with an MCL tear, causing her to miss the latter part of the season and the team's playoff run.

Cunningham was one of the Fever's injured players during the season, alongside Caitlin Clark, Sydney Colson, and Aari McDonald.

Sophie Cunningham reveals plenty of options in post-WNBA career

Since joining the Indiana Fever in the past season, Sophie Cunningham has risen to one of the most popular players in the WNBA. But now at 29 years old, Cunningham is already thinking about her post-basketball career.

According to Cunningham, she has a lot of things she was to check in her bucket list after her career winds down.

“I would love to coach, but I also think I want to get married and I want to have a family," she said. "The life of coaching is not so ideal for all that. So there's that.” “I'd love to do broadcast. I would love to be in the entertainment space. So, who knows? I would also love to be on a yacht, not doing anything. We have a lot of options. I don't know yet. It's kind of being where my two feet are right now."

Now that she has been getting advertisement deals, Cunningham's world has gotten bigger, giving her more options outside basketball.
