“So much demonic energy”: Streamer Neon talks about moving out of LA

Kick streamer N3on, also known as Neon, has announced that he is leaving Los Angeles, citing concerns over the city’s environment and personal well-being, saying there's a lot of "demonic energy."

In a message posted on X (formerly Twitter) on October 31, 2025, Neon said that he is officialy leaving Los Angeles very soon.

I’m officially moving out of LA. I feel like I’m losing myself. So much demonic energy and things going on. I’m packing my shit and leaving tonight

The announcement comes nearly a year after a series of challenges in LA, including a swatting incident and the revocation of his filming license during a month-long streaming marathon as reported by Dexerto on October 9, 2024.

The popular streamer's decision highlights the difficulties content creators face in balancing creative output, safety concerns, and regulatory compliance in major urban centers.

N3on aka Neon, born Rangesh Mutama, has been streaming since age 12, initially creating YouTube content focused on video games as reported by XXL on April 11, 2025. By 16, he had built a name within the streaming community, specializing in titles such as NBA 2K and Fortnite, and became known for explicit and sometimes controversial outbursts.

While he started his journey on Kick, the streamer reportedly switch to Twitch. He announced the move via his social media pages on July 18, 2025, and started primarily streaming on Twitch from July 21, 2025. The announcement featured well known personalities including rapper Dave Blunt and actor Nick Cannon.

As of 2025, the streaming star has around 900,000 subscribers on YouTube, over 400,000 on Kick and over 360,000 on Twitch. Neon’s decision to move out of Los Angeles follows multiple disruptions during his October 2024 streaming marathon, a 30-day event in which he planned to stream 24 hours a day.

During the marathon, police reportedly responded to a swatting call at the streamer’s rented home after a false report of a domestic incident or shooting, as reported by Dexerto on October 9, 2024.

While no one was harmed and the LAPD quickly realized it was a prank, the streamer said that neighbors then mobilized against him, filming the altercation and pushing for eviction. The situation was further complicated by the revocation of his filming license, which prevented the streamer and his team from legally continuing their content production in the city.

The streaming star described the experience as chaotic, saying that they had removed furniture to fit bunk beds for the stream participants, and faced a strict 24-hour deadline to vacate the property. In response, Neon said her organized a farewell event with DJs and performers, which was meant to mark the occasion before the marathon moved to Las Vegas with support from peers including FaZe Banks.

At the time of press, Neon has not revealed any more details about his latest re-location.
