Shedeur Sanders announces personal move after Colorado graduation

Shedeur Sanders returned to the University of Colorado for the final time as a student-athlete on Saturday. The Cleveland Browns quarterback received his degree in sociology, ending a five-year journey between Jackson State and Colorado.

While many are under the impression he'll be jumping back to his emerging career as an NFL signal-caller, that's not Sanders' sole focus for the immediate future. He talked about his off-the-field ambitions while in the car going to graduation. It's clear "Grown" is ready for what comes next.

"I got to stack up my real life chips," Sanders said. "I might need to get my Masters. I'm doing it for the activity of learning."

Sanders balanced being his rookie season in the NFL, along with working on his relevant coursework from afar. This was something he perfected during his time in Boulder under his father, Deion Sanders, as coach. The new era of classes being available online has been a game-changer for a majority of athletes. This frees up time without the stress of being tied to a classroom.

However, Coach Prime explained why his son was missing the true college experience by not going to class.

"It's so different now," Sanders admitted on The Brett Boone podcast. "Most of the schooling is online. They go to classes, and I'm like, 'You guys are missing the best part of college to walk around and be on campus and build an atmosphere and build relationships on campus with other students outside of football. That's the best part of it."

"But now you have so many kids that are just online. I don't even know if Shedeur has ever taken a class on campus in his college career."

Sanders seems focused on his future now more than ever. Even if that's not being in Cleveland past his current contract, he's ready to be major, and maybe ever master something outside of football.
