Seth Rollins defends WWE

Seth Rollins has come out in defense of WWE. The Stamford-based promotion has faced criticism from fans over its decisions this year. One of the most controversial aspects has been the promotion's booking of John Cena's retirement tour.

While many fans were already unhappy with WWE's handling of his farewell run, they were left angry with him tapping out in his last match to Gunther on December 13.

This decision has divided opinion, but Seth Rollins has defended the choice. In an interview with Fox News Digital, he said that had Cena won the match, nobody would have been talking about it.

"If John Cena had just won the match, you wouldn't be asking any questions about it. We’re not even having the conversation. No one would be saying the name Gunther. None of this would be going on. At the end of the day, it's always about what's next, and John understood that better than anybody," he said.

Rollins explained that it was about what was coming next and the future of WWE. He mentioned that watching Cena go out with a smile meant he knew what he was doing.

"The business rolls on. The shows keep coming. The audience changes. The machine powers through. So my feeling is I saw John smile before he tapped out, and I think he knew exactly what he was doing," he added. [H/T: Fox News]

Seth Rollins provides update amid WWE absence

Seth Rollins suffered a shoulder injury during his match against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel in October. That injury has kept The Visionary sidelined with no clear update on when he will return.

During an appearance on Mohr Stories, The Visionary revealed that he is still three to four months away from complete recovery.

Rollins was written off TV after Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed attacked him on RAW to kick him out of The Vision.
