Sebastian Fundora confirmed his plans to make quick work out of Keith Thurman Saturday night. And that is exactly what the reigning WBC super welterweight champion did.

Fundora stopped Thurman in the sixth round of their main event fight from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The bout headlined the PBC Pay-Per-View on Prime Video event.

Yoenis Tellez, Yoenli Hernandez and Gurgen Hovhannisyan were among the other winners of the night.

Sebastian Fundora uses height and reach to destroy former unified champion

It was all Fundora from the start, as the 6-foot-6 champion imposed his will against Thurman. Fundora out-struck Thurman by 70 strikes, as the former unified champion landed just three jabs.

"We've been working very hard for this fight,” Fundora said. “I told him that I've always looked up to him. He's a Hall of Famer for sure. I take my hat off to him. That's why I had to train so hard to prove to the world that I'm the best at 154. I've fought in these high class fights that have allowed me to mature and grow. I've continued to strive for greatness and now I'm here.”

Despite the loss, Thurman had high praise for his opponent.

"It was a lot of fun,” Thurman said. “Sebastian definitely came in shape. He throws a lot of punches. The uppercut that caught me and cut me was an awkward punch that I've never been hit with before. The man brings it. He's a tremendous champion, and I can lift my head up high knowing I was defeated by a great young fighter."

Yoenis Tellez downs Brian Mendoza in featured undercard

Former interim champion Tellez improved to 12-1 when he topped Brian Mendoza in a featured undercard bout. Tellez had to overcome a busted nose that nearly led to an early stoppage.

Top middleweight contender Hernandez stayed perfect with a victory over Terrell Gausha. The former United States Olympian was unable to solve Hernandez, who is now 10-0 in his career.

Hovhannisyan kicked things off with a fifth round stoppage of Cesar Navarro.
