Seahawks trade rumor spells bad news for Buffalo Bills ahead of NFL deadline

3 hours ago 1

The Buffalo Bills have been rumored to be interested in making at least one move at the NFL trade deadline. Per Dianna Russini, the Bills reached out to the New Orleans Saints and Las Vegas Raiders about Chris Olave and Jakobi Meyers, respectively.

"The Bills were one of the teams that inquired in recent weeks about Saints WR Chris Olave, sources say," Russini posted on X. "Buffalo is making calls on other receivers, including Jakobi Meyers."

In addition, many thought the Bills would be in on a trade for a defensive back, as the likes of Minkah Fitzpatrick of the Miami Dolphins and Riq Woolen of the Seattle Seahawks have been reported to be available. However, it appears at least one of those deals isn't going to happen

Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reports that the Seahawks will likely holding onto Riq Woolen rather than trade him.

"It’s currently considered unlikely that the Seahawks trade cornerback Riq Woolen, sources tell CBS Sports," Zenitz reports on X.

The Bills could still scale the market for a cornerback should they see it as a need. However, with how Max Hairston has performed thus far, they may not see it as a huge need.
