Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker set to 'break the bank' in free agency

There are plenty of players from the 2025 Seattle Seahawks team hitting free agency, but none will be as interesting as Kenneth Walker III.

He's set to land a big deal this offseason after the Seahawks didn't use a franchise tag on him. But, how big will that new deal get?

According to ESPN's Ben Solak, Walker is set to "break the bank" in free agency, landing a massive contract thanks to a thin draft class and free agent pool at running back.

Kenneth Walker predicted to 'break the bank' in FA

"Walker is set to reach free agency as the top, highly explosive RB with emergent receiving ability given how he finished the season in Seattle," Solak writes. "With a thin RB class in the 2026 draft, expect free agent running backs to see a boost in their contracts this cycle."

Walker, set to be the top running back available this offseason, will land a huge contract. Some team in need of a running back is going to spend a lot to bring Walker to their team.

And combined with the weaker running back class in the draft and free agency, Walker, the top player, will have a ton of attention on him this offseason.

After winning Super Bowl MVP with the Seahawks, Walker is almost certainly going to leave in free agency thanks to these lofty offers set to come his way.

While the Seahawks could try to keep him, the contracts he's going to command might price the Seahawks out of a reunion.

Seeing Walker leave will sting, but at least it will be after a Super Bowl-winning season, and the best year of Walker's career, as he put up 1,027 rushing yards and went for over 400 yards and four touchdowns in the playoff run.

Walker is almost certainly on his way out of Seattle as he's expected to "break the bank" in free agency this March.
