Following the Seattle Seahawks' 31-27 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship on Sunday, the official NFL account shared a "Mic'd Up" highlight of quarterback Sam Darnold celebrating on the field with his fiancée, Katie Hoofnagle.
Darnold finished the contest, completing 25 of 36 passes for 346 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions.
Amid the stadium crowd's background noise at Lumen Field, Darnold told Hoofnagle that the victory did not feel real, while she assured him, "We did that."

The couple’s relationship began during their shared time in Charlotte, North Carolina, during the 2021 and 2022 NFL seasons.
After following Darnold through a Pro Bowl campaign with the Minnesota Vikings in 2024, the couple reached a major milestone in July 2025 when Darnold proposed in Dana Point, California.

On the flip side, Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald praised his signal-caller’s resilience, saying, "shut a lot of people up tonight."
With this victory, Darnold is set to become the first quarterback in USC history to start a Super Bowl.
