The Seattle Seahawks have plenty of game-winning parts of their team worth paying attention to for Super Bowl 60. Sam Darnold, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Kenneth Walker make up a core on offense that can win Seattle the Super Bowl.
Add on the entire defense, and even Cooper Kupp and AJ Barner, and the Seahawks have so many different players and groups that can win them this Super Bowl against the New England Patriots.
But, fans shouldn't count out Rashid Shaheed. The All-Pro playmaker could play a huge role. And ESPN's Eric Moody predicts Shaheed will have such a game, putting up 100 yards and a touchdown as the Seahawks finally unleash their trade deadline addition.
Seahawks predicted to 'unleash' Rashid Shaheed in Super Bowl 60
"Shaheed finishes with 100-plus all-purpose yards and scores a touchdown," Moody predicts. "... With Smith-Njigba drawing constant double-teams, this could be a great opportunity to unleash Shaheed on offense."
Since being acquired from the New Orleans Saints at the NFL Trade deadline, the Seahawks have seldom used Shaheed on offense.
He has just 15 receptions for 188 yards and no touchdowns with Seattle, to go with seven rushing attempts for 64 yards. His offensive involvement has been minimal all year.
Even in the playoffs, Shaheed, through two games, has just one catch on five targets, albeit it was a 51-yard reception in the NFC Championship. His three rushes for 27 yards are also a decent mark, but overall, his offensive involvement is not much.
More: ESPN's Super Bowl predictions are in, and it's not close between Seahawks and Patriots
Moody is predicting that's all going to change in the Super Bowl against the Patriots. Getting Shaheed the ball more wouldn't be a bad idea.
He's proven himself as a returner, returning a punt for a touchdown in Week 16, and then in the NFC Divisional round against the San Francisco 49ers, returning the opening kickoff for a TD in an electric start to the blowout win.
Shaheed has rare speed and playmaking ability. With the Patriots' defense likely to focus on stopping JSN, Shaheed will need to step up his game, and the Seahawks will need to give him those opportunities.
Moody is predicting that, between his work as a returner, receiver, and rusher, Shaheed will go for over 100 yards and score a touchdown as Seattle finally "unleashes" their trade deadline acquisition in the biggest game of the season.
