Seahawks predicted to replace Kenenth Walker with 11-TD Notre Dame RB in Round 1

The Seattle Seahawks are looking to repeat as Super Bowl champions following an incredible 2025 season. But it's not going to be easy, thanks to the players they lost in free agency.

While Coby Bryant, Boye Mafe, and Riq Woolen are big losses, the most noteworthy departure was Kenneth Walker III, their Super Bowl MVP, signing with the Kansas City Chiefs. Seattle needs a new lead back, and there aren't many great options.

However, NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah, in his latest mock draft, predicted that the Seahawks would find Walker's replacement in an 11-touchdown running back from Notre Dame with the 32nd pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. But, it's not Jeremiyah love the Seahawks are landing, instead it's Jadarian Price.

Seahawks predicted to draft 11-TD Notre Dame RB at No. 32 overall

"I see a steep drop at the running back position this year after Price," Jeremiah writes. "He would slide right into the mix in Seattle, with Kenneth Walker III departing and Zach Charbonnet coming off injury."

The Seahawks offense is undergoing a major change at running back, thanks to the departure of Walker for the Chiefs and Zach Charbonnet's late-season ACL tear.

Seattle needs help at the running back position right from the beginning of the year, and they've not made a major splash at running back in free agency.

Adding an RB in the first round might be a bold decision, especially with Price, the backup to another first-round RB in Love. But, the Notre Dame running back had a great year as a platoon back, which is what he would be for Seattle in2 026.

Price ran the ball 113 times in 2025, running for 774 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also caught six passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns.

While he might not be as good a prospect as Love, his fellow Notre Dame RB, Price, is still worthy of a high draft pick. And Seattle, with a strong roster already, is one of the few teams that could justify spending a first-rounder on the backup Notre Dame RB this year.
