The Seattle Seahawks have made the Super Bowl, but that doesn't mean that their roster is in perfect shape. They are going to have some holes to fill this offseason on the defensive side of the ball.
While their defensive backs will be priority offseason re-signings, like Tariq Woolen, Coby Bryant, and Josh Jobe, their pass rush room could use some extra help. Instead of free agency, the Seahawks could use the 2026 NFL Draft.
In a two-round mock draft from Nick Baumgardner of The Athletic, the Seahawks are predicted to double up on pass rushers in the first two rounds of the draft. These two pass rushers would be great pickups for Seattle and reshape the line in one offseason.
Seahawks predicted to draft 2 pass rushers in 1st, 2nd rounds of NFL Draft
"32. Seahawks: T.J. Parker, edge, Clemson," Baumgardner predicts. "Parker had an elite case to the 2025 season, with four sacks and 10 pressures in the finale versus South Carolina."
Adding a player who had four sacks in one game is incredibly appealing, but there's a bit more to this story for Parker. He had six total sacks all year, and was overall fairly disappointing compared to his previous years in college.
But that doesn't mean he's not worth a pick at 32nd overall. The Seahawks should be ecstatic to land Parker at this pick, as his lackluster 2025 might be enough of a discount to make him fall down the board and join one of the best defenses in the league.
Parker isn't the only edge rusher that Baumgardner predicts the Seahawks will take. At the end of the second round (64th overall), the Seahawks are mocked to take Alabama edge rusher LT Overton.
The Senior out of Alabama isn't the prolific pass rusher, but overall, he's a solid edge defender who can get some pressure and stop the run.
In the second round, with some high-quality depth, Overton would be a great draft pick for the Seahawks. He's a bit older, but in the second round, adding someone who can be an instant impact player like Overton would be a nice pairing with Parker.
Adding two defensive linemen in the draft would make a lot of sense for Seattle, especially if they focus their money on their secondary this offseason.
They could try to spread out their money between the backfield and the pass rush, but if Seattle wants to re-sign their DBs, then this is the draft to do so, as the edge defenders are very strong and abundant in this draft class.
