Seahawks have five days to make contract decision on fan favorite WR amid Jaguars deal

The Seattle Seahawks have been suffering the side effects of winning the Super Bowl. As they've experienced with Riq Woolen, Boye Mafe, Coby Bryant, and Kenneth Walker, the Super Bowl winners typically lose a ton of players in free agency.

Those losses have stung, even though they were expected coming into the offseason. But the departures might not be over for Seattle.

According to ESPN's Field Yates, the Seahawks fan favorite wide receiver, Jake Bobo, is reportedly signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars on a restricted free agent contract. Seattle now has five days to match and bring Bobo back for the deal the Jaguars made.

Seahawks have five days to answer Jaguars RFA contract for Jake Bobo

"The Jaguars are signing Seahawks restricted free agent WR Jake Bobo to an offer sheet; Seattle has five days to decide on whether to match the offer," Yates reports.

This is going to be an interesting decision for the Seahawks, as matching this offer sheet on Bobo will depend on what the Jaguars are signing him for.

If it's a reasonable deal, then the Seahawks might match the offer and bring him back for the 2026 season. But if it's too much, then Bobo will be walking and joining the Jaguars.

The fan favorite wide receiver has been a great run-blocker in his three years in the NFL. He's 27 years old and coming off his worst year in the NFL.

Bobo caught just two passes all regular season, but he made his mark in the playoffs, catching two of three passes for 33 yards and a touchdown.

In his three-year NFL career, Bobo has 34 receptions on 44 targets for 323 yards and three touchdowns. While nothing overly special, he's been a solid depth WR for Seattle the last few years.

The undrafted free agent now has a chance to leave Seattle for the Jaguars this offseason, and unless the Seahawks match the offer sheet, Bobo will leave Seattle behind for Jacksonville, Florida.
