Mohamed Salah's Liverpool future could be back in question in 2026.
Salah netted 29 Premier League goals last season as Arne Slot cruised to the title in his first season at the club
Those numbers represented Salah's best individual campaign since 2017/18 and he opted to sign a contract extension in the final weeks of the season.
After months of debate over his place at Anfield, Salah and club captain Virgil van Dijk both penned renewals to their expiring deals, with the duo now tied to Merseyside until 2027.
Fast forward to 2025/26, and Liverpool's form is in free fall, after five successive defeats in domestic competitions for the first time since 1953.
Salah has managed just four goals across all competitions so far and he will miss a chunk of action from mid-December as he heads away on AFCON duty with Egypt.

With debate raging over Salah's right to a regular starting spot in Slot's team, old links to the Saudi Pro League have resurfaced, after he rejected a move to the Middle East in 2025.
The former AS Roma forward was rumoured to have been offered a £150m [$197m] annual salary to make the switch before signing his extension.
As per reports from TBR Football, that offer remains on the table for the 33-year-old, alongside an estimated £50m [$65m] fee for Liverpool.

Alongside a huge salary, which would put him on par with Al Nassr skipper Cristiano Ronaldo, Salah would also be offered a role as a tourism ambassador and the right to part-ownership of whichever club he joins.
Currently there are no plans from the SPL to make a January move and Liverpool would not him sell mid-season.
The package will remain available for Salah, but the SPL will only make their move, if Salah and his representatives tell Liverpool he wants to leave after the 2026 FIFA World Cup next summer.
