The Las Vegas Raiders have one of their biggest decisions of all time to make, and it seems to be an obvious one with Fernando Mendoza at No. 1. However, bringing Mendoza in and not having reliable targets isn't something the Raiders should view as a good idea.
After entering the offseason with one of the worst wide receiver groups in the league, the Raiders have done nothing to get better. There are still a few options for them out there, including former San Francisco 49ers star Jauan Jennings.
Jenning certainly has his fair share of questions after not showing up to anything for the 49ers last year, but if the talent is still there, perhaps he has his head on right now and can be a nice fit in Las Vegas.
Mark Morales-Smith of Sports Illustrated connected Jennings to Las Vegas, adding that Jennings could help.
“The Raiders entered the offseason with the worst WR corps in the NFL, and their big addition has been Jalen Nailor. That's not good enough when you are a month away from drafting a franchise quarterback who you want to lead your team for the next decade-plus. They need to get him more options on the outside, and Jennings would be a nice starting point and immediately become their top wideout.”
For a young quarterback, especially a rookie expected to carry the future of the franchise, having good targets is important. I don't know if Jennings is the same caliber player he once was, but it's probably worth the risk right now for Las Vegas.
