The San Antonio Spurs will travel east for the first time this season as they face the Chicago Bulls at the United Center on Monday. Both teams enter this matchup following contrasting results in their last game.

The Bulls dropped their last two road games, falling to the Milwaukee Bucks and Cleveland Cavaliers. Meanwhile, the Spurs defended home court, earning back-to-back wins over the Houston Rockets and New Orleans Pelicans.

Despite their contrasting results in their previous games, the contest should be an entertaining one as the Bulls are yet to lose at home, while the Spurs' only defeats this season have been on the road. With that said, here are the starting lineups for both teams.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Chicago Bulls Injury Reports

San Antonio Spurs Injury Reports

The San Antonio Spurs injury report features three players. Luke Kornet (ankle ) and Dylan Harper (calf) are expected to sit out with their respective injuries.

Meanwhile, David Jones Garcia is listed as questionable, with his availability being a game-time decision.

Chicago Bulls Injury Reports

The Chicago Bulls enter this matchup with an inflated injury report. Zach Collins will continue to miss games with a fractured wrist, while Coby White (calf) should be able to make his season debut in the coming weeks.

Josh Giddey has been added to the injury list with an ankle injury and is questionable for the game against the Spurs. Additionally, Patrick Williams is listed as probable, too, with a finger injury.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Chicago Bulls Key Matchups

The matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls is shaping up to be a close contest, with both teams off to strong starts this season. While each side boasts plenty of talent, a few key matchups could ultimately determine the outcome.

The most obvious battle between the two teams will take place in the paint as Nikola Vucevic will be tasked to stop the in-form Victor Wembanyama. With the Frenchman averaging 24.3 points and 12.3 rebounds per game, he will be he focal point in attack.

However, Vucevic is one of the more experienced centers in the league and has the size and strength to stop the phenom. Furthermore, his perimeter shooting and rebounding ability could pose a challenge for Wemby.

With Giddey potentially sidelined, Tre Jones will have his hands full guarding De’Aaron Fox, who scored 24 points in his season debut. Jones will need to step up defensively if the Bulls hope to come out on top against the Spurs.
