Sam LaPorta injury update: Lions' TE reportedly goes to locker room

3 hours ago 3

The Detroit Lions' offense finally got going early on Sunday.

But then they hit a rough patch when Sam LaPorta, the star tight end, went to the locker room.

It wasn't immediately clear what was wrong with the TE.

The Lions scored on their opening drive in a revenge game against new Bears' coach Ben Johnson, a rushing TD by Jahmyr Gibbs.

But without LaPorta, things could get a bit worse.

The Lions have a couple of other tight ends on the active roster.

Brock Wright would see LaPorta's snaps if he misses time.

They also have Shane Zylstra.

For now, Lions fans will hope that LaPorta is OK.
