Hollywood icon Salma Hayek Pinault, 58, heats up the cover of the new Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, looking scorching hot as she kneels in a checkered pool in a green bikini.
The photo shoot was done by famed photographer Ruven Afanafor in her home country of Mexico. Inside photos show the actress baring a lot of skin as she looks over her shoulder on a colorful blanket, lounging in a white triangle bikini top and skirt, and crawling in the sand in a gold bikini — among many other looks, according to a gallery posted by Sports Illustrated on Tuesday, May 13.

The star told Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin on the Today show that she was sent 200 bathing suits ahead of time and tried on 100 — only for her suitcase to get lost. Her luggage held all of the suits that had by then been tailored to her own body, plus all of her personal beauty products.
“I was really not confident,” Pinault said on the Tuesday, May 13 episode of the news show. “I showed up, feeling I'm like, ‘What am I doing here?’”
But everything changed after a magical moment on the beach.

“I stood up and a whale jumped behind me,” she told Guthrie and Melvin. “And all of a sudden I felt, ‘This is magical…I'm 58 and I'm doing this.’ My generation, especially Mexican women, we thought we were going to be dismissed at 35, you know? And I got so excited and I felt really free…I started dancing, I loved it. And it turned out great.”
The magazine is available on Saturday, May 17. The other cover models include gymnasts Livvy Dunne and Jordan Chiles and inclusive fashion icon Lauren Chan.
