After an entire NFL career spent with the New Orleans Saints, knee issues prevented any more football from being played for Ryan Ramczyk.
He announced his retirement in April, and the Saints officially placed him on the reserve/retired list on Monday, according to Pro Football Talk.
New Orleans drafted Ramczyk 32nd overall, the final pick of the first round, back in the 2017 NFL Draft out of Wisconsin.
The 6-foot-6, 314-pound tackle went on to play in 101 regular season games and seven playoff games for the Saints.
He was chosen first-team All-Pro after the 2020 season, and in both 2019 and 2021, he was second-team All-Pro.

Ramczyk missed the entire 2024 season with knee injuries and in the end, he couldn't make it back to the field.
At 31 years old, Ramczyk was one of two notable retirements this offseason for the Saints, along with Derek Carr.
The QB Carr had throwing shoulder issues that caused him to call it quits at age 34.
It'll be a new era in a lot of ways for the Saints in the 2025 season. They've got a new head coach, Kellen Moore. They'll have a new quarterback. And the offensive line is getting younger, too.
They'll certainly miss Ramczyk and Carr as veteran leaders who were still talented football players.
