Speculation‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ about Spider-Man: Brand New Day has reached a new high after a trailer for the movie that was accidentally leaked, which seemed to have a pivotal role of Sadie Sink in the upcoming Marvel movie. Even though Sony and Marvel haven't let any of the material out, the clips getting taken down by copyright claims pretty quickly make it look like this unofficial stuff is real.

One of the main reasons this leaked footage is so significant and what has people so eager to talk about is that it may reveal the story that studios have been keeping under their hats since they announced the cast earlier this year.

The main point of the speculation is the character of Sadie Sink in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the secret of which has been kept so well that it has led to fan mockery. And numerous theories have now reached a point where it is difficult to guess which one is right or wrong.

As per a report by IGN, which was published on December 17, 2025 revealed that the leaked trailer says that the character played by Sadie Sink is shown as one who is not hiding her intention to harm Peter Parker and who also knows that he is Spider-Man.

Although the visuals in the leaked clip are unclear because it's a very low-quality video, fans could make out Sink's voice in the dialogue that her character is in confrontation with the protagonist of the movie.

In the scene, her character cautions Spider-Man against meddling, implying that the consequences are not only serious but go far beyond Peter Parker. The line of argument that infers that she is a villain has gained a lot of momentum because the most common fan theory had her as a possible helper or a character that would be a connection to the past.

Fan discussion has increasingly focused on the possibility of Sink portraying a multiversal villain, with Shathra frequently mentioned due to the character’s ability to manipulate realities and identities.

There is no confirmation yet, but the audiences have been led to the conclusion that Sink’s role is adversarial rather than heroic due to the tone and intent of the spoken words.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day would be the fourth MCU Spider-Man film featuring Tom Holland and is set to act as the first chapter of a new trilogy. The script revolves around the situation after the magic done in the last moments of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which made everyone forget that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, thus leaving him all alone to operate at a ground level in NYC.

Destin Daniel Cretton directs this flick with writing by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, whose work is part of the previously done. Together with Holland, the company includes Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, Tramell Tillman, and Marvin Jones III.

Besides, there are quite a few characters coming from the previous Marvel movies who are going to be here too, thus widening the Marvel Cinematic Universe connections.

Production for Spider-Man: Brand New Day started in August 2025, with location filming happening in Glasgow and all over England, while sound stages at Pinewood Studios were used. The wrap happened around the middle of December, so the whole thing is pretty much on schedule for its release.
