Joe Burrow reveals thoughts on future with Bengals after rough Week 15 game

The Cincinnati Bengals are 4-10, eliminated from playoff contention, and facing multiple issues about the future of the organization. From Zac Taylor to Joe Burrow, a few key members of the Bengals organization have uncertain futures.

At Wednesday's press conference, Bengals franchise quarterback Joe Burrow was asked a few questions about his future in Cincinnati and what his thoughts were on going to a different team.

Mike Petraglia of CLNSCincy.com shared Burrow's comments on those two questions, and Burrow's answer was a revealing one.

Joe Burrow answers questions about Bengals' future, chance of playing for another team

"I can't see that, no," Burrow said when asked about a world in which he's not the Bengals quarterback in 2026.

This comment indicates that Burrow is planning to remain the team's starter next season. While things have been shaky lately, Burrow is still expected to remain the starter in Cincinnati next season.

But another question sparked an interesting response. When asked if he's ever thought about playing for another team in his career, Burrow said, "You think about a lot of things."

While he's not outright saying he's looking for change, and it's not clear if he was referencing a reporter being the ones to think about such things, this comment does leave open the door to a major change.

If Burrow's quote was in reference to his own thoughts, then he would be subtly suggesting that he's open to the idea of joining a new team.

While it's not clear if that was his intention with this quote, it's a hard one to ignore, especially with how the Bengals 2025 season has gone thus far.

Burrow isn't likely to be on a new team next season, no matter how bad things get, as the Bengals would surely not accept a situation where they lose a franchise quarterback like Burrow.

It's been a rough season, but if there is one guarantee, it should be that Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins will have Burrow back for 2026 and beyond.
