Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has dropped a major hint over leaving the club this summer.
The Red Devils miserable campaign came to a frustrating climax in Bilbao as Amorim's charges lost 1-0 in the UEFA Europa League final to Tottenham.
The final was billed as a bizarre clash between two sides enduring dreadful Premier League campaigns but it was Ange Postecoglou who prevailed in the Basque Country.
Defeat means no European qualification for United, coupled with their worst-ever EPL finish, which could end up as low as 17th depending on the season finale on May 25.
Amorim has won just 15 games across all competitions since replacing Erik ten Hag in November 2024 and his future is under real pressure.
The club are not actively looking to remove the former Sporting CP boss, but the United head coach admitted his reputation is damaged, and he will not argue if the call to sack him is made.

Ruben Amorim admits Man United exit is possible
In the tense post-match atmosphere, United captain Bruno Fernandes admitted he could leave Old Trafford this summer, if the club decide to move in a fresh direction.
Amorim was similarly candid over the situation, stating he would not look for compensation, if the Red Devils hierarchy sack him.
"If the board and the fans feel I'm not the right guy I'll go tomorrow with no compensation. But. I will not quit," as per quotes from TNT Sports, via Talksport.
"I'm confident that I'm still the guy. Even more so now than in the beginning.
"I know it's going to be tough. I know we've lost against an English team. I know the patience of the fans is going to be really short next season.

"But I guarantee you I will not quit, I will not go away, so at this time I'm still really confident."
Ruben Amorim contract, salary: How much Man United head coach earns

His contract runs until June 2027, with United holding the option to extend that by a further year.
FootballFanCast place Amorim fourth in the table of the highest-paid current EPL managers just ahead of Liverpool boss Arne Slot.
