Minnesota Twins fans were concerned about what their team had done over the offseason. They didn't make any big splashes, but maybe they did not need to.
They kicked off their season against the Baltimore Orioles, who were one of the most aggressive teams over the winter months, and Minnesota made it a tight series.
Unfortunately, they would lose two games to one, but that does not mean there aren't good things to take away from the series. The pitching staff looked great, and Royce Lewis could be in store for a monster season.

Royce Lewis and the pitching staff provide hope despite Twins' series loss
Joe Ryan started the game on Thursday, going 5.1 innings, giving up zero runs on one hit while striking out seven batters in the 2-1 loss.
On Saturday, Taj Bradley had a great start and got the run support he needed. He went 4.1 innings, giving up one run on three hits while striking out nine.
Royce Lewis hit a two-run home run in the 4-1 win and hit another one on Sunday, but the club would lose 8-6. Despite the series loss, Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter sees something in this team.
"The Twins got a gem from Joe Ryan on Opening Day and a solid start from Taj Bradley, providing some hope the rotation could still be a strength. Oft-injured Royce Lewis homered twice in three games as he once again teases star potential."
If Royce Lewis can put it all together this year and stay on the field, there is no telling how far he could go. Take that, combine it with Byron Buxton, Luke Keaschall, and a pitching staff that looks the part, and this could be a team that the rest of the AL Central will not want to overlook.
