Team India and Mumbai batting star Rohit Sharma left a fan in awe with his gesture during the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 match against Uttarakhand on Friday, December 26, in Jaipur. As the veteran cricketer waved at him, the fan was visibly elated and his expression went viral on social media.
With Rohit failing to showcase his exploits against Uttarakhand on Friday, several fans seemingly left the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. However, a handful of them still stayed to catch a glimpse of the star cricketer. As the fan repeatedly called the former Indian captain, he also waved back at him.
Here's the video of the moment:
The Nagpur-born cricketer had hammered 155 off 94 deliveries, laced with 15 fours and eight sixes against Sikkim to help Mumbai chase down 237 comfortably. But he perished for a first-ball duck to Devendra Singh Bora in the second game.

Yuvraj Chaudhary (96) and Jagadeesha Suchith (51) made half-centuries but the lack of substantial contributions meant that the target proved to be very steep for Uttarakhand. Mumbai captain Shardul Thakur, Onkar Tarmale and Musheer Khan snared two wickets each, while Shams Mulani and Tanush Kotian also claimed one scalp apiece.
Rohit, meanwhile, could be unavailable for the remainder of the tournament, especially with the ODI series against New Zealand looming. The explosive opening batter will be keen to carry his form against the Kiwis in the three-game ODI series, beginning on January 11, in Vadodara.
The 38-year-old finished the ODI series against Australia with 202 runs, headlined by a ton. He couldn't score a ton in the 50-over leg against South Africa at home but still made a couple of fifties.
