As of now, there has not been any confirmation that the company is giving out free cash to those who have wished them. Nonetheless, the claim accrued a lot of attention on the internet.

GTA Online player allegedly received $1 million after sending holiday greetings to Rockstar
On December 26, 2025 (or December 25 for some time zones), a Redditor named Starkinator3000 posted a screenshot of an email from Rockstar Support. In the post's heading, the Redditor explained that they were inspired to send holiday greetings to Rockstar through their support portal after they saw something similar on Steam's subreddit.
The screenshot was of a reply from Rockstar Support, who wished the player happy holidays and stated that the player's account was credited with $1,000,000.
Here is what the reply from Rockstar Support read:
"We sincerely appreciate your greetings and are grateful for your kind remarks. As a token of our appreciation for your continued support of our games and your loyalty as a customer, we have credited your Maze Bank account with GTA$1,000,000 as a one-time accommodation. This amount will be available the next time you log in to play GTA Online."This screenshot went viral on GTA Online's official subreddit, with over two thousand upvotes and many comments.
It is safe to say that many people must have tried to send holiday greetings to Rockstar Support after seeing this post. However, this method of earning cash has been officially confirmed or promoted by Rockstar. There are chances that this entire post could be a fake.
Players can easily earn upto $1,850,000 in GTA Online this Christmas
This amount can be earned by completing Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid twice (Image via Rockstar Games || GTA Wiki)If players really want to make serious money during the GTA Online Christmas event, they can do the Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid twice before January 7, 2026, to earn $1,850,000.
First, there is a $500,000 bonus for completing the Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid as a leader and as an associate. Leaders get $500,000, and associates get $50,000 as a base payout from the farm raid. Additionally, there is a weekly bonus of $300,000 from December 30 to January 7 for completing the Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid as a leader as well.
Hence, players can do the farm raid once as a leader and once as an associate between December 30 and January 7, to get the full amount.
Here is a total breakdown of the payouts, including bonuses:
- Base payout as a leader- $500,000
- Base payout as an associate - $50,000
- Leader bonus - $500,000
- Associate or bodyguard bonus - $500,000
