Rockets fans are freaking out over Harden possibly moving to Cleveland

According to Shams Charania, James Harden and the Los Angeles Clippers are looking to ship the All-Star out before the trade deadline and are in contact with several teams. To add further fuel to the fire, Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix reported that the Cleveland Cavaliers were in “advanced discussions” regarding a swap deal.

Rockets fans are hoping a reunion with Harden takes place

James Harden officially became a star in the NBA with the Houston Rockets, and after his departure to the Brooklyn Nets, he still showed love to the city by staying involved with the Houston Dynamo as a minority owner of the soccer team. It always seemed like a move back to the Rockets was never unreasonable from an emotional standpoint. Unfortunately for the fans, that possibility looks slimmer by the minute. Still, some are holding on to hope that the legend can make his return to the city that gave him so much.

The Rockets are in need of someone who can stretch the court alongside Durant and control the pace of play, and in that sense, a move for Harden doesn’t look horrible. In reality, the Rockets have an exciting young core, and while Harden would provide a short-term solution to the team, trading for him could have some damaging long-term effects.
