Dillon Brooks has 16 technical fouls this season.
And the Houston Rockets wing certainly earned No. 16.
On a funky jump shot attempt Wednesday night, Brooks had the ball knocked loose by Jazz guard Collin Sexton.
Brooks flailed in response, and he inexplicably thrust his right leg at Sexton’s midsection.
A technical foul was called, and replays clearly showed Brooks kicking Sexton.
It’s not clear whether it was intentional, but it didn’t seem like a natural shooting motion or follow through.

Brooks seemed frustrated after the play, and it’s possible he just lost his wits for a moment.
Regardless, it earned his 16th tech, which comes with a one-game suspension.
