Rockets being monitored as potential destination for $228 million dollar MVP

The Houston Rockets have been involved in a lot of trade hypotheticals, as they have a young and upcoming team just looking for that star leadership to take them over the top. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, many teams think Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Anetokounmpo is that guy.

“This has been interpreted in some corners of the league, as noted in a recent Sunday notebook, as a strategy designed to give the Rockets more time to see if dream trade target Kevin Durant were to become available down the road ... no matter how adamant Phoenix has remained about its desire to keep Durant in the desert. The following expansion of the conversation was inevitable given the various combinations of rising prospects and draft picks that the Rockets can assemble in theoretical trade offers, but similar whispers have begun to percolate among rival teams monitoring a potential down-the-road Houston pursuit of Giannis Antetokounmpo.”

Giannis has already solidified himself as a legend in Milwaukee. A two-time MVP, a DPOY, a MIP, a NBA champion and Finals MVP, Giannis has piled on the accolades.

In his career, he has averaged 23.5 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, a block, and a steal per game.

This season, Giannis is a top MVP candidate, averaging career-high 32 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and a block per game.

The Bucks’ season has looked very rough, with a record of 4-9. Giannis may want out, and the up and coming Rockets may be a destination he likes.
