Iconic actor Robert Redford died Tuesday morning at age 89.
The “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” star’s passing was confirmed to the New York Times by Rogers & Cowan PMK chief executive Cindi Berger.
Redford died in his sleep in his home outside of Provo, Utah, according to the spokesperson, who did not specify the Oscar winner’s cause of death.
The Sundance Film Festival founder is survived by his wife, Sibylle Szaggars.
Redford was also the father of three surviving children — Shauna, James and Amy — with his ex-wife, Lola Van Wagenen, as well as seven grandchildren.
The former couple, who were married from 1958 to 1985, also shared a son named Scott who died as an infant.
