The fiancée of Bengals backup quarterback Jake Browning was elated that she got their interaction on video after Cincinnati’s 31-27 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
Browning, who stepped in for an injured Joe Burrow (toe) in the second half, held hands with his his wife-to-be, Stephanie Niles, as he exited the field at Paycor Stadium. after the game, as seen in a video she posted on Instagram.
“That’s the first time he’s ever looked at me,” Niles gushed in the camera, referring to the quarterback finding her in the crowd.
Niles — who sported a halter top with Browning’s number 6 on the front and orange leather Von Dutch pants — was seen waving her arms in her front row seat to get Browning’s attention.
Browning led the Bengals on a 15-play, 92-yard drive and scored the game-winning touchdown on a one-yard run with 18 seconds left.
It is the Bengals first 2-0 start in seven years after Burrow was helped into the locker room because of an injured toe in the first half.
Browning completed 21 of 32 attempts for 241 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions.
“What a roller coaster,” he wrote on Instagram after the game, including the snapshot of him and Niles holding hands.
“No seriously I’m crying,” Niles added on her Instagram Story.
The couple celebrated seven years together in May.
The University of Washington alum proposed to Niles the beach in Malibu last November, as seen in photos of the couple’s engagement on Instagram.
Browning will take over as the starter while Burrow is out with a severe turf toe injury —which will require surgery, sidelining him for a minimum of three months, according to multiple reports.
Burrow is believed to have suffered a Grade 3 turf toe injury, along with torn ligaments.
In 2023, Browning started the final seven games and went 4-3 when Burrow was out with a season-ending wrist injury.
The Bengals play the Vikings (1-1) in Minnesota on Sunday.
