Rob and Michele Reiner’s eldest son, Jake Reiner, has reportedly quietly tied the knot.
Jake, 35, married Maria Gilfillan earlier this month, TMZ reported Monday. It’s unclear how long Jake has been dating Gilfillan, though the two made a red carpet appearance together at the New York City “Things Like This” premiere in May 2025. He also posted pictures of them attending a wedding together in Las Vegas on Instagram in October 2025.
In the post, the couple holds hands while posing for the camera, and in another pic in the carousel, he wraps his arm around her waist as she leans into his shoulder.
Jake was also seen wearing a gold band on his left ring finger in his first sit-down interview with KABC-TV’s Marc Cota-Robles last Thursday about the tragic murder of his parents.
Rob and Michele were stabbed and killed in their California home in December 2025, with their middle child, Nick Reiner, 32, arrested for the slayings.
During the emotional interview, Jake shared that he has not spoken to Nick since the death of their parents. He also candidly spoke about the “rage” he’s felt.
“It manifests into rage, into how unfair this was, how I didn’t get a say in what happened,” he said about his complicated feelings. “I didn’t get to stop it from happening.”

He continued, “I had no choice in the matter. I just have to accept the reality of it. And to me, that is just one of the most infuriating parts of all of this.”
He noted that the “When Harry Met Sally” director and his wife of 36 years “never stopped wanting to help” Nick, who struggled with drug abuse and was diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Jake said of his younger brother, “I mean, he’s in jail so … you know, it’s like I physically lost my parents and then Nick was arrested and now it’s just me and [my younger sister] Romy.”
In April, Jake described the anguish he felt at his brother being connected to his parents’ murders.
“We lost more than half of our family that night in the most violent way imaginable,” he wrote in a Substack essay.
“Sure, any loss of a parent is devastating, but nothing compares to losing both of them at the same time and, on top of that, having your brother be at the center of it,” he also wrote. “It’s almost too impossible to process.”
