LeBron James' agent, Rich Paul, has a strong response to reports about his future in the NBA amid speculation.

In a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee show, Paul pushed back on any rumors floating around his client's future in the NBA.

Paul stated that we should believe nothing that is out there on James when it comes to his playing future in the league.

"Believe nothing that's out there about LeBron James," Paul said. "I haven't had one conversation with him. At the end of the season, I made it clear that I would respect he and the family."

"Whatever decision he decides to make, that is his decision," Paul continued. "He doesn't need to make a decision for anybody but himself. There's been no conversation; I have not had one conversation with him, I don't mention it. When he comes to me, and he wants to sit down, I am more than prepared for every scenario there could be."

Questions remain about LeBron James' NBA future

James is very near the end of his illustrious and Hall of Fame career. While the expectation is that he will return for the 2026-27 season, it's still not for certain.

As things stand, James appears to be enjoying the offseason. He's been golfing regualrly and it's a clear passion and hobby for him.

However, there is no denying his love for the game of basketball and how he can still do it at a high level. James is coming off a stellar 2025-26 season, averaging 20.9 points per game, 6.1 rebounds and 7.2 assists in 60 games.

The four-time NBA champion has plenty of gas left in the tank, but the question is whether he wants to continue putting his body through the wear and tear that comes with the league.
