Rey Mysterio was pinned in the main event of Monday Night RAW, and in the process, the man who pinned him picked up his first victory on the red brand in 504 days.
This week on RAW, Rey Mysterio teamed up with CM Punk to take on any two members of The Vision. That meant either Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, or Logan Paul. However, Logan Paul was notably not absent, and there was that elephant in the room - the fact that the mystery masked man was none other than the returning Austin Theory. During his interactions with Paul Heyman, one thing became clear - Heyman was actually not lying to Adam Pearce when he said he had no idea about Theory's involvement at WarGames and on RAW. Theory's conversation with Heyman revealed that he felt he lost his way, he got complacent, and now he's back to take, which is exactly what he felt when watching The Vision all these months.
As a result, Austin Theory got a chance to team up with Bronson Reed in the main event against Rey Mysterio and CM Punk. He would pick up a victory by pinning Rey Mysterio. As a result, this marked Austin Theory's first win on RAW in 504 days, as per Cagematch.net. It should be noted that he and Grayson Waller did pick up a win against the LWO earlier this May, but it was on WWE Main Event.
The shocking part of this is that the last victory he had on RAW was on 5th August, 2024. A lot has changed since then, and during that period, he had a spectacular downfall, which culminated with him getting pinned by Jey Uso in seconds on RAW earlier this year.
This opportunity with The Vision means that the line-up is likely complete and that Theory could end up being one of the big benefactors of joining this group as he looks to hit a refresh button on his WWE career.
