Trades are happening in the NHL, but the Detroit Red Wings don't necessarily seem to be in a hurry to get a Dylan Larkin deal done.
The captain has requested a trade, so it'll probably happen at some point. It just isn't being rushed.
A trio of ESPN insiders wrote a new article on Tuesday in which they broke things down further:
"Nothing new on the Dylan Larkin front, and Detroit GM Steve Yzerman hasn't tipped his hand regarding timing. However, the expectation is the Red Wings' captain will be traded ahead of next season. Larkin's camp submitted a list -- I believe Larkin's preference is to go to an American-based team, and definitely an organization in position to win -- and the Red Wings are working through that."

ESPN went on to bring up the Philadelphia Flyers. But if the Flyers' fanbase was hoping to end up with Larkin, it's looking like that might not be the case.
"As of now, a team such as Philadelphia is not on Larkin's list," ESPN writes. "Though the Flyers covet top centers, they are open to filling those roles internally for now."
Larkin's originally reported teams list included the Minnesota Wild, Vegas Golden Knights and Florida Panthers.
It's not clear if that's expanded since the initial report. It seems like Larkin will probably add some more teams to the mix to try and facilitate a deal.
The less teams he is open to, the harder it'll be for the Red Wings to actually find a trade that makes everyone happy.
The Flyers, for example, have a lot of young talent that Detroit could want, but if Larkin doesn't want to go there with his no-trade clause, it doesn't really matter.
This will be a situation to watch, especially since it seems to be developing a bit on the slow side.
