Should we pump the brakes on the Boston Red Sox going full sell mode at the trade deadline?

Somehow, the Red Sox are just 5.5 games from the third and final Wild Card spot in the American League.

A four-game sweep over the New York Yankees certainly helped. Still, Boston's chief baseball officer, Craig Breslow, has a major decision to make over the next month.

Two players who could be on the move if the Red Sox sell are right-hander Sonny Gray and infielder Isiah Kiner-Falefa.

FanSided's Jake Elman is confused as to why Gray and Kiner-Falefa have not already been moved.

"As I wrote this, Gray and IKF were still on the Red Sox. Why that’s the case, I’m not sure," Elman wrote.

One suitable trade partner may be the Atlanta Braves for either player or both.

"Craig Breslow needs to move ASAP and sell high on the duo before it’s too late. The Braves need rotation help and added infield depth," Elman added. "This is a perfect match, though it makes too much sense for Breslow to realistically do anytime soon."

Gray is the bigger prize in a potential deal. He took a no-hitter into the eighth inning on Sunday against the New York Yankees and has allowed two runs or fewer in 10 of his 15 starts.

Alongside Chris Sale in Atlanta's rotation, Gray would be a strong candidate to be the Braves' No. 2 starter in a postseason series.

However, it's surprisingly not out of the question that Breslow does not move the three-time All-Star if the Red Sox stay hot.
