Rebel Wilson Shares Insight Into "Girl Power Household” With Daughters

Why Rebel Wilson Says She Had to Share Baby No. 2 News Earlier Than Expected

Rebel Wilson's life is full of spice.

After all, the actress—who wrote, directed and stars in the upcoming comedy Girl Group—is surrounded by strong female figures at home, including wife Ramona Agruma and their two daughters Royce Lillian Elizabeth, 4, and Rose Estelle, 4 months.

"It is definitely a girl power household," Wilson exclusively told E! News at the world premiere of her movie during the Toronto International Film Festival Sept. 11. "It's all girls, all day, every day."

That's also why it was easy for 46-year-old to channel that feminine energy into Girl Group, which centers around a former pop diva coaching a band of misfit teens as part of her community service. "

"What inspired me to make Girl Group was just my love of girl groups," she shared. "I was that teenage girl with a cassette tape and pumping Spice Girls the whole time. They were this group of women who were all unique. They were also bold. They got out there. They spoke their mind. They crushed it out in on the world stage."

In addition to the iconic troupe—which originally comprised of Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Halliwell—Wilson was also inspired by "sensational" girl groups of the next generation.

"From Destiny's Child, TLC, En Vogue to Fifth Harmony, Little Mix, BLACKPINK more recently, who just absolutely crush it," she raved, "I wanted to create a movie that celebrates girl group music throughout the decades, and I think this is it."

And like her idols, Wilson's oldest daughter isn't afraid to speak her mind. In fact, the Pitch Perfect alum announced the birth of her second baby earlier than she would've wanted because Royce is such a "chatterbox."

"She just goes around saying everything to anybody, teachers at school, people in the grocery store,” Wilson quipped during a January appearance on Today. “She’ll be like, ‘I’m getting a baby sister,’ and then people come up—random people—go, 'Oh, congratulations on the new baby.’”

She added, “I thought, ‘OK, I better put it out on social media.'"
